FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Spot On Encourages Individuality

Spot On Be Your Own Spot™ opened for business August 12, 2010 in Ft. Worth offering t-shirts and other products that encourage individuality.  According to Alicia Taylor, founder and owner of Spot On, “individual spots are all around – you just have to find yours.”  Taylor, inspired by her Dalmatian Sydney who she calls her “muse,” designs products that encourage people to embrace who they are.  Each Spot On t-shirt design is an original hand drawing of Sydney in a particular spot. At the launch party held Thursday, August 12, close to 50 people bought out Taylor’s stock of t-shirts, hats and decals.  The biggest selling designs that evening were ‘Lucky Spot’ depicting Sydney covered with shamrocks – in place of her signature Dalmatian spots – and ‘Golf Spot’ featuring Sydney playing golf.  (PICTURE OF PARTY AVAILABLE)

“All of the t-shirts are original pieces and Spot On’s eco-friendly production process really impressed me,” said Karena Wright with The Wright Eye, who purchased the t-shirt titled ‘Travel Spot’ showing Sydney with luggage waiting to leave for a trip.

Spot On takes particular pride in running the business in ways that are easy on the environment.  The hang tags and shipping labels are printed on 100% recycled content and attached with 100% natural hemp twine.  Products are shipped with recycled and reusable mailing tubes that are suitable for gift giving.  (PICTURE OF PACKAGED PRODUCT AVAILABLE)

When considering vendors, Spot On sought out local vendors.  “It was important to me that we use local companies,” says Taylor.  “And frankly, I have to confess that I’m a perfectionist and I need to know that I can drop in on my team when I need something.”

“Our design concept at Spot On is not so much about the dog, but about the individual’s spot.  Everybody’s got a spot.  They just have to find theirs.  The exciting thing is that it gets people thinking and talking about their personal spots and their dream spots,” according to Taylor, who also creates custom designs for clients.

What’s Taylor’s spot?  Right now it’s in front of her drafting table with Sydney at her feet.
