FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
The Fort Worth Cats Have Gone to the Dogs
Who says cats and dogs can’t get along?
Sydney, a two-year-old Dalmatian, is the muse and inspiration for Be Your Own Spot®, a local company that is a new sponsor of the Fort Worth Cats. The company produces t-shirts and other outerwear designed to encourage people to embrace who they are and find their own personal spot in the world. Be Your Own Spot® product designs are based on original drawings by Alicia Taylor, founder and owner of Spot On Be Your Own Spot®. (PHOTO OF ALICIA AND SYDNEY AVAILABLE)
“We are excited to have Be Your Own Spot® as a new sponsor this season. Alicia has created a great concept that inspired us to welcome her and Sydney onboard. I believe their message is something we can all relate to,” said Carl Bell, Owner and CEO of the Fort Worth Cats.
According to Taylor, “The Cats give a lot back to our community and support local small businesses. These are essential factors in my decision to become a sponsor of the Cats.”
Be Your Own Spot® has created a custom design for the Fort Worth Cats called Cats Spot, which depicts Dodger, the Cats mascot, pitching a ball to Sydney. Cats Spot will be featured in the Team Store and available online. The Fort Worth Cats and Be Your Own Spot® have a lot of fun activities planned this season, so bring your family and friends out to La Grave Field to meet Sydney and enjoy a night of great baseball and on May 12th, opening day. Be Your Own Spot® is donating tickets to local organizations throughout the season. The Gladney Center for Adoption is just one of the organizations that will benefit this season. Taylor, a Gladney baby herself, wants to provide opportunities to those who generally wouldn’t get the chance to experience a game at La Grave Field. “It’s important to me to help someone find their spot, if only for a day,” says Taylor.
In addition to donating Cats tickets to local organizations, Be Your Own SPoT® will be giving away tickets throughout the season to those individuals who share their stories about their personal spots. Contact Alicia Taylor for more information about how to get free tickets.
About Spot On Be Your Own Spot®: Our mission is to offer outerwear that encourages individuality while contributing to our community. Everyone is different. Everyone has a place in our world. Our products encourage embracing who you are.
